These cover the hosted Cobblr at app.cobblr.xyz and the trial at try.cobblr.xyz. They are short because the deal is simple: your data is yours, we run the service as well as a small team can, and either of us can end it.
What this is
Cobblr, hosted by us, free, and early. A small team runs it. There is no uptime guarantee, no support contract, and no promise that a feature you like today survives a redesign. If that matters to you, self-host it: it is the same software, and you can run it yourself for nothing. Self-hosting is governed by the software licence, and nothing on this page applies to it.
Your data is yours
We claim no ownership of what you put in. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not sell it. The exception is product information: on the hosted service, the products you name, correct or identify are added to Cobblr's shared barcode network (for a product without a barcode, as scrambled words from its label, never the photo), without your name, email or workspace, and that is how free identification works (Privacy says exactly what is sent). You can export it at any time from inside the app, and delete it the same way. Privacy says exactly what we hold and for how long.
What we ask of you
- One account per person. Do not share credentials.
- Do not store anything illegal, and do not use the file uploads to distribute material you have no right to.
- Do not attack the service or other users: no scraping, no probing, no attempts to reach another workspace.
- Do not resell access or run a paid service on top of the free hosting.
If an account is doing one of these we will suspend it, and where we can we will tell you why first.
The trial
try.cobblr.xyz hands you a private workspace with no account, and it deletes itself after an hour unless you keep it. Before it does, the strip at the foot of the page offers two things: Keep this workspace, which turns it into an ordinary trial and says how long it is yours, and Take your work, which emails you a full backup that restores into a hosted workspace or a self-hosted one. Nothing is deleted quietly: a kept workspace shows its date on every page, and you are warned by email before that date.
Accounts you connect
You can connect outside accounts to a workspace, such as a Gmail mailbox for order and parcel emails or an AI provider key. Each is read only as far as Privacy says, is used for nothing else, and can be disconnected by you at any time, which revokes it at the provider first. Our use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Ending it
You can stop whenever you like: export, delete, done. We can close an account for the reasons above, or if we stop offering the hosting at all, in which case we will give notice and enough time to take your data with you.
No warranty
The hosted service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Keep your own backups of anything you would be upset to lose. We take backups, and we would rather you did not have to find out whether ours work.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it. This is a free service run by a small team, and that is the honest limit of what standing behind it can mean.

We will update this page and note it in the changelog. If a change is significant we will email you.
